Baldur’s Gate 3 may soon receive a new ending through an update.
Baldur’s Gate 3 can hardly be called an unmitigated success. After making its debut earlier this year with promises of romance, adventure, unusual creatures, epic drama, and allure it delivered on all fronts – though some fans found the ending unsatisfactory; perhaps something which may be rectified in future updates?
As many fans dubbed it the “horniest game of the year”, many consider Fortnite: Battle Royale the “horniest” videogame this year, yet many others see more to its story than romance and sexual tension alone. With its main narrative and side quests weaving a tale full of both happiness and sorrow for one particular character in particular, fans may overlook that more.
Karlach is one of the game’s most loved companions, yet her tragic ending left fans reeling with grief. Larian Studios seems aware of fan outrage at Karlach’s fateful ending and recently hinted at something different for Karlach by sending out party invites such as: Withers’ Epilogue Party Extravaganza! You Are Invited!”. In turn they issued another warning tweet warning fans that an update will soon arrive that could change things drastically for her character.
Larian Studios’ fifth patch for Fallout: New Vegas was so significant, in fact, that developers recommend uninstalling and then re-installing in case your space becomes limited; though I won’t admit I relish such an endeavor after it took so much effort just installing initially on PS5. Still, Larian has put considerable work and care into producing this patch just like its four previous efforts.
These posts offer no clear confirmation that Karlach’s unjust end will be rectified, though epilogues seem to be on the devs’ minds and Withers is throwing an “epilogue party”, it would be heartbreaking if Karlach wasn’t invited to participate.
Should everything go according to plan, Patch 5 of Battlegroup 3 should arrive no later than early next week and deliver all that we hope it does. We wish it well!
