Leak of Xbox ‘Next’ console details appear online via PlayStation 5 Pro leaker
Leaks suggest we could soon see Microsoft release its Xbox Next console sooner than we expect, possibly this fall.
At first, this claim may seem to be nothing more than idle speculation in the gaming industry; but upon further inspection it might bear truth. A series of tweets purporting this discovery have been uploaded onto Reddit so you can peruse them at your leisure.
@Kelper_L2 has been making many comments related to Microsoft’s next console trajectory with phrases such as, “Xbox-next isn’t that far away”, and, “I have heard very different things”. His posts often provide no concrete answers about when we might expect an announcement or launch date; these cryptic remarks leave little information in terms of hard facts that we can cling to for certainty.
Still, while little evidence is provided here, this leaker was the same who shared PS5 Pro specs, lending credibility to their belief that Xbox will arrive much earlier than anticipated.
One user noted, in response, “When Series X turns six years old it will still be one year younger than PS4 and Xbox One were in 2020 – could we see another generation console?”, seemingly understanding that using history to predict its own future may well result in one.
Some gamers remain doubtful that the launch date for PlayStation 5″ should be near; one was quoted saying, “With the pandemic and smaller leap between generations this one should take longer.” Unfortunately, however, due to all its unexpected consequences it had on multiple industries at once; gaming itself still thrived thanks to people being at home; but constant work on creating a new console just wasn’t feasible during that period of time.
At first, it may seem too soon for Microsoft to unveil a next-gen console; but with Sony having released their PS5 Slim recently, perhaps Microsoft are trying to beat their competitors to market with this next-generation release.
