PlayStation has released free Christmas downloads – no PS Plus membership necessary
PlayStation has made available some special Christmas freebies to its users for an undetermined duration.
PlayStation has had an outstanding year. Notably, we enjoyed Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, limited exclusivity for Baldur’s Gate 3, and an expansion pack to their best PS5 game so far, God of War Ragnarok.
Sony claims it’s steadily adding members each month; yet PS Plus continues to disappoint its subscribers and it continues to disappoint those that subscribed initially.
These latest freebies don’t require a PlayStation Plus membership in order to redeem, so while they might not include AAA titles directly delivered directly into your library, their thoughtfulness makes up for this shortcoming.
PlayStation Wrap-Up, Sony’s annual celebration of all things PlayStation, works similarly to Spotify Wrapped in that you will gain an overview of everything you played this year by signing in and giving an account – such as those where you spent the most time, earned most trophies or used genre to determine who type of gamer you are.
Once you complete the roundup, PlayStation will send out an awesome thank-you note thanking you for your time and support this year, along with digital goodies to add to your profile. Spider-Man fans should rejoice; two cute spiderbots were introduced into the game; one wearing Peter Parker’s classic color scheme while the other features green and purple hues similar to The Prowler. Other players may receive different avatars so don’t be surprised if something different appears!
