Call of Duty 2025 could be an updated Black Ops 2 sequel.
Call of Duty fans have been excitedly discussing leaker Tom Henderson’s news that the 2025 Call of Duty entry will serve as a direct sequel to Black Ops 2. This news reverberated through the community like thunderbolt!
Henderson revealed to Insider Gaming his sources’ plans that Black Ops 3 may return to near future, beginning five years post Black Ops 2, giving plenty of room for popular characters from Black Ops 2 to return and for new caonflicts to emerge later in time.
This game is scheduled to release by 2025; however, due to the lengthy development timeframe it could change drastically in setting. According to reports titled Round Based Zombies with Movement System Overhaul and Gunfight Return as game modes as well as “Pick 10 Create-a-Class,” are all planned features in its setting.
Modern Warfare 3 has responded to fan frustration with remastered Black Ops 2 maps by including several original ones as well. But those disappointed that remasters won’t continue should rest easy: Infinity Ward is said to be working diligently on its next Modern Warfare game!
Another significant revelation regarding this project was its high likelihood to move away from ‘carry forward’ system, in which players could continue using cosmetics and progression between games using it – something found particularly useful in Modern Warfare games set during one era, yet which will become difficult with future titles that move through history quickly enough to include specific weapons from that era.
leaks indicate, Call of Duty 2025 has an intriguing codename of Saturn; perhaps this indicates its return to outer space using cutting-edge tech like in 2016’s Call of Duty Infinite Warfare?
No matter the grand plans being devised, let us only hope that teams behind upcoming Call of Duty titles won’t need to rush through short development timelines.
