PlayStation Plus members will experience Baldur’s Gate 3 meets Assassin’s Creed Black Flag for free this November!

PlayStation Plus subscribers still have time to experience Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire before its limited run ends on April 11th – an ideal game if you enjoyed Baldur’s Gate 3 and Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag!

All PlayStation Plus subscribers know the deal by now; each month brings several new titles while several more leave. January sees ten games leave from both extra and premium tiers: Back 4 Blood, Devil May Cry 5, Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition, It Takes Two, Jett The Far Shore, The Missing JJ Macfield & Island Memories Mitsurugi Kamui Hikae Omno Pillars of Eternity II Deadfire Snowrunner.

Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire made its PlayStation debut in 2020 from developer Versus Evil and saw players as capable of reading people’s souls and memories. Although a follow-up to 2015’s Pillars of Eternity was initially available in this way, newcomers can jump right in without needing to familiarise themselves first with its characters, gameplay or story arc.

Given that Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire revolves around seafaring, you can understand why fans of Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag may find this title appealing. While its gameplay differs considerably from Baldur’s Gate 3, Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire does resemble earlier titles in its series.

How Long To Beat estimates it will take an average of 61 hours to finish Pillars of Eternity II’s main story and 95 on main missions and side quests; fitting this timeframe between now and January 16th 16th might seem ambitious but is certainly doable; do give this game a shot if possible!
