Starfield meets A Bug’s Life in this incredible Unreal Engine 5 open-world adventure!
Little is known about this new shooter from Epic Games; we don’t even have an exact release window, let alone a date. That hasn’t stopped us from being excited, though!
Infinitesimals appear to amalgamate various games and multimedia concepts, from Starfield with its science-fiction feel, through A Bug’s Life to Honey I Shrunk the Kids; even some Avatar elements could easily make their presence known here.
Unreal Engine 5 has produced an amazing-looking world to explore: Captain Awkney Relinrake is at the helm, leading his minuscule alien crew onto an unknown yet mysterious planet.” As seen from its trailer, we see the lush environment of plants, landscapes with gigantic flowers, and mounds of dirt; while one moment, Relinrake may be zipping around on his jetpack and scanning idyllic scenes until an enormous spider-like one from The Dark Tower appears unexpectedly over an innocuous hill!
Cubit is a European studio that created this game with great care, seemingly taking inspiration from multiple sources to craft this dreamlike visual experience. The footage has a dreamlike quality with lots of light blooms and dreamlike landscapes; Relinrake dashes through short grass while blades of greenery flutter from beneath his roots behind him and follow. The attention to detail is impressive as Relinrake darts between short grasses while greenery lifts itself free to follow her wherever he may go – a unique visual journey!
Imagine shrinking to bug size and experiencing our world through their eyes; Infinitesimals perfectly captures that aesthetic.
Though this game features only minimal details, I was quite taken by its trailer. Growing up as an 80s child and loving shows such as Land of the Giants TV shows brought back vivid memories I would like to explore further through playing this game.
