Stronghold Crusader 2 has been a long-awaited sequel of Stronghold: Crusader. This original “castle simulation” was released in 2007. Stronghold is back in the Middle East deserts circa 1189 with the new Havok Physics engine, a 3D engine that allows for the realistic destruction of castles. Crusader 2 is a sequel that will recreate the addictive gameplay of Crusader and its authentic simulation.
This new Stronghold is true to its origins, with a real-time strategy that combines RTS gameplay and city building. As a Crusader knight or Arabic freedom fighter, you will have to use an arsenal of deadly troops and siege equipment to determine the fate of holy lands. In two single-player historical campaigns, you can choose to be either Richard the Lionheart, or the Sultan from Syria. Both have dynamic events like tornados and locusts. Manage your desert economy to become the most powerful Lord.
