The Imperial Gatekeeper takes place in the fictional country of medieval times with a look that is similar to Japan as well as China. A few years ago there was a bloody civil war that was taking place within the country, and it was dragging on for many years.
In the end, the Great United War finally ended, and the hero known as Till was one of the great heroes. A veteran of the war was planning to stay as a soldier, however, the government announced it would end all any more conflicts. The soldiers were removed from the army.
