The $2 million FNCS Invitational championship wrapped up this weekend, bringing competitive Fortnite into a near Season 2. Some of the biggest names in Fortnite were invited to compete, along with different open qualifiers who earned a spot in the event.
Shortly after his win, he received a 14-day aggressive ban for”teaming.” Some clips surfaced that showed him colluding with a different participant for loot.
From the clips, you can view another player attracting loot and, seemingly, dropping it for Sekosama prior to being removed to the storm. He also, reportedly, fed Sekosama elimination points and has been communicating with him in a Discord call.
Sekosama sacrificed his winnings following the ban, as is expected. There were several clips of the behavior that surfaced following the event, prompting Epic to take action.
Surprisingly, this ban has been reportedly only 14-days long. This contradicts the president of 30 and 60-day prohibits that follow similar actions in the community.
Sekosama has maintained his innocents through the controversy, but has now been removed from the leaderboard. This lumps qjac up to first and Magu to second.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen such a controversy in aggressive Fortnite and it probably won’t be the last. We’ll see if more high-profile Fortnite pros receive bans within the next FNCS Season.
