Nvidia GeForce GX 1630 launching June 15th
May 31st was the original launch date for the GTX 1630. However, VideoCardz now has the embargo date of June 15th. The retailers are usually notified of the embargo. It was previously scheduled for tomorrow. However, it will now be arriving in two weeks. Marketing and on-shelf orders will be fulfilled simultaneously, with no review embargos.
It is unlikely that the reviewers will receive it. They will most likely need to source them themselves. The benchmarks are much less than 1650 and 1050T. This release will be the last of these models.
Performance and specifications for Nvidia GeForce 1630 GTX 1630
The GTX 1630 comes with the TU117150 GPU, a smaller version of the GTX 1650. It also has a 64-bit memory bus, compared to 128. Even with the same memory clock, the bandwidth has been halved at 96 GB/s. This could explain the high performance in synthetic benchmarks. With the new variant, the CUDA core count is 512, compared to 896 with the 50 cards.
Three benchmark performance comparisons are made between the cards. These comparisons can be used to compare the performance of different cards, even though they are not real-world tests. Firestrike 1080p shows that 1650 performs 82% more than 1630, while the 1050 Ti is just 17% quicker. Firestrike Extreme 4K shows that 1650 performs nearly twice as well with 97% more performance, while the 1050 Ti is only 48% faster. The 1050 Ti is only 8 points ahead of 1630 in TimeSpy 1440p, while the 1650 Ti is 72% faster.
As they are only good for Esports games at 1080p, the lower-end cards are not great options for gamers. It seems unnecessary to have a weaker card, but it is good to remember at least Nvidia is the entry-price market. It’s okay as long as it is well-priced.
