Over the Finale’s Prequel Cameo, ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi fans are losing it
Obi-Wan Kenobi wrapped up its six-episode run yesterday on Disney Plus with an explosive finale. It tied up all loose ends and fulfilled the show’s main premise.
Was Obi-Wan Kenobi particularly necessary? It is unlikely. It was not a perfect show. It was not perfect. It was certainly not!
While the finale featured Obi-Wan and his former apprentice in a rematch, there were many other surprises throughout the episode, most notably the return of Liam Neeson’s Qui-Gon Jinn (who we haven’t seen since 1999’s The Phantom Menace).
Obi-Wan spent most of the series trying to reunite with his master. However, he was unable to do so until the final moments of the show. Obi-Wan finally saw his friend after he had defeated his demons.
Fans were thrilled to see the wise old Jedi and his apprentice reunited after 23 years.
It’s not the last time we’ll see Neeson’s beloved Jedi in the future. It was announced last month that Neeson will be reprising the role of Qui-Gon Jinn from Star Wars Tales of the Jedi. Six episodes of the animated anthology series, which will run six episodes, will provide a detailed look into the lives six Jedi from prequel times. We are eager to see what the future holds.
