Hogwarts Legacy free update adds quietly new content without fanfare or announcement.
Since Hogwarts Legacy first debuted several months ago, players have enjoyed regular updates with new cosmetic features being quietly implemented into each update.
Hogwarts Legacy’s success has been astounding to say the least, with over $1 billion made across various platforms across multiple platforms alone and outstripping movie sequels in terms of revenue generation. Add that with its passionate playerbase who are dedicated to exploring every corner of Hogwarts and surrounding areas and it becomes evident why Hogwarts Legacy has been such an incredible hit!
Fans were initially disappointed to learn of cut content like an Avalanche Software-designed morality system with humorous consequences for dark magic usage and no Quidditch; but overall they seem satisfied with what the game offers them; indeed Avalanche has continued releasing patches with additional content to maintain user satisfaction.
Previous updates have brought with them both big fixes, cosmetic upgrades, and updates to the open world. This latest patch adds even more gear for exploration – perfect if you love exploring!
Reddit user TheGrizzlyBen first noticed this after the latest update and made his post public; no other users seemed to mention this development: If you check your gear appearances we now have our character wearing their original tan coat and outfit from when he or she first began playing the game.”
Other players confirmed the addition, noting: “Both Rugged Overcoat and Common Victorian Garb were added to our Appearance list in one of the prior patches, though characters created prior to it may have not had access to them – now everyone can wear these!”
This update also included several fixes for glitches and bugs affecting quest progression, some of which negatively impacted quest progress itself.
Fans have taken notice of the newly added content; however, many remain eagerly awaiting any additional significant expansion, be it story DLCs or an interactive Quidditch game.
Players have taken matters into their own hands in the meantime by adding content they would like to see through mods. So far, modders have added rideable dragon mounts, extra combat spells/items such as Gryffindor’s Sword of Gryffindor and an ideal system that makes the game feel like Bully.
