Fallout: New Vegas gains stunning Unreal Engine remake

Though initially released over 10 years ago, Fallout: New Vegas remains widely considered one of the best games in Bethesda’s Fallout franchise. Due to this incredible success and with such an avid fanbase supporting it, many have called for its remake and while no official announcement has yet been made by Bethesda about any potential plans such as Unreal Engine 5, many can only dream about what that might entail on new engines such as Unreal Engine 5.

Fallout: New Vegas was released in 2010 and follows Courier Six across a post-apocalyptic Mojave desert searching for those responsible for killing him. While exploring both vast landscapes as well as small settlements built by survivors, Fallout: New Vegas brings alive life after WW1.

Now thirteen years later, Fallout: New Vegas has since been eclipsed by other Bethesda titles like Fallout 5 and 76 – yet many fans consider 2010 RPG the definitive edition. As Bethesda still has not confirmed anything similar happening here yet, one YouTube user created an Unreal Engine 5 trailer recreating Fallout: New Vegas using Unreal Engine 5.

TeaserPlay’s trailer of New Vegas in modern terms was absolutely beautiful to witness. Set to It’s All Over but the Crying by The Ink Spots, our first glimpse was at Mojave desert with ghostly creatures roaming freely among other wildlife; then Courier Six traversing everything from winding roads covered with sand dunes to cityscapes in view. These updated graphics and stunning visuals made fans eagerly anticipate an official remaster release date!

Just imagine if they listened to fans and offered remakes of Fallout 3 and New Vegas; that would be amazing,” read one commenter, while another read, “Wondering how an unrelated YouTube channel knows more what gamers need than corporations seeking their cut of our hard-earned earnings!.”

Fallout: New Vegas may never get an official remake, but we can enjoy fan made trailers to dream about what might have been.
