South Park: Snow Day 3D RPG gameplay trailer has divided fans.
After 26 years since its debut episode back in 1997, South Park remains popular and thrives today.
reports surfaced that South Park: Snow Day would soon be released as a 3D game – far removed from its traditional 2D presentation. Unfortunately, South Park: Snow Day did not appear until August this year!
South Park: Snow Day stands apart from Ubisoft’s two single-player RPG titles inspired by South Park: The Stick of Truth and South Park: The Fractured But Whole with its 2D style presentation of both titles; this co-op title published by THQ Nordic features three dimensions of role playing!
“From South Park Digital Studios – makers of classic South Park episodes like ‘South Park: The Stick of Truth, South Park: Fractured but Whole and Phone Destroyer- comes the next chapter in Cartman, Stan, Kyle and Kenny’s journey as New Kids,” reads an official press release. “Join Cartman, Stan, Kyle and Kenny as they celebrate one of life’s greatest joys: snow days!” A massive blizzard has shaken their town into disarray – cancelled school days too!
THQ Nordic released an exciting gameplay trailer for South Park: Snow Day this week, providing more footage than what had previously been showcased back in August. Although I found nothing amazing or startling about it, the gameplay trailer still looked promising enough and has my interest peaked for trying the game out myself – however it appears to have split opinion among fellow South Park fans.
“I would’ve preferred they maintained the style from previous games but, considering this is just a spin-off, as long as an RPG returns in its place – I don’t mind!” said unexpectedkid5880 on YouTube in response to 2victorr who lamented about 2D graphics being missing and that this wasn’t going to be a remake of N64 game!” TLOZSkywardFan made similar statements.
“This game honestly looks pretty cool,” noted an optimistic LarvaTubaShow. Jdiroe was equally enthusiastic that this will be an awesome event to follow and predicted it as being great fun to watch!
Everybody has different entertainment preferences when it comes to video games – this holds true of South Park: Snow Day as it launches. When considering its RRP of PS24.99/$29.99 it would be unreasonable for people expecting AAA features from South Park: Snow Day when its released.
South Park: Snow Day does not yet have an exact release date, however we know it will arrive sometime during 2024 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch platforms.
