GTA 6 $225 pre-orders have sprung up online, and if that interests you then try your hardest to avoid them.
Scammers have already begun exploiting those looking forward to Grand Theft Auto VI by offering access to an Alpha Version for $225; an untrue promise indeed.
GTA VI will arrive sometime between 2025-2026. Unfortunately, no pre-orders are currently available nor is a definitive release date or editions announced as we don’t yet know when they go live. Rockstar may take some time before providing more insight into this project but keen-eyed fans believe they may have caught sight of an image depicting part of its map in Rockstar’s trailer – though scammers have certainly taken note – already counterfeit PC downloads were discovered online before now appearing with fake pre-orders!
Unnecessary steps include downloading, paying for or opening anything purporting to be GTA VI or giving access. As nothing of this sort exists currently and information regarding it will become available via Rockstar’s official channels when this game releases.
As reported by AutoEvolution, scammers continue their attacks against vulnerable victims online by advertising a $225 GTA VI Alpha Version via YouTube ads that provide instructions on “downloading and testing gameplay”, along with Rockstar logo and words like ‘Play now”. We hope Rockstar removes this advertisement before someone falls for it!
Expect further fraudulent activity online as GTA VI remains one of the most anticipated pieces of entertainment across all mediums – and is undoubtedly set for an unprecedented level of hype and anticipation. Scammers will surely take advantage of it.
