The latest Call of Duty won’t be released until November, but PlayStation players will have a chance to check the game out early during a multiplayer alpha for the game’s new Champion Hill mode. Call of Duty: Vanguard‘s alpha will begin on Aug. 27 at 1 p.m. ET and end on August 29th at 1 p.m. ET.

The alpha will be focused on Vanguard’s new Champion Hill mode. In which two or three teams compete in a round-robin tournament, they are either a duo (2v2) and trio (3v3)). Each team has an individual life that carries over from match to match. However, if your team’s lives reach zero, you are out. The last team standing is victorious.

A new economic system is also featured in the mode. Each player in Champion Hill will have the same loadout. However, players can earn cash by killing enemies and finding items on the map. Players can spend their cash between matches to purchase new weapons, Perks and Killstreaks.

The unique aspect of this mode is that it takes place on one large map, but it’s divided into five sections. The buy station is located in the middle, along with four arenas: Airstrip (Trainyard), Market, Courtyard, and Courtyard. Each area is similar in size to the Gunfight map from Call of Duty Modern Warfare and Black Ops Cold War. After a squad has been eliminated, they can watch the match from the buy station.

Only PlayStation platform players will be able to access the alpha test for Call of Duty: Vanguard. Anyone with a PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 will access the beta test once it is live. Sledgehammer Games will host a beta testing session for other platforms. Pre-ordered PlayStation gamers will be able to participate in the beta from September 10-13. The beta will be available to all PlayStation players on Sept. 16-17. It will also be available for Xbox and Battle.net users who pre-ordered this game. The beta will open on September 16-17 for all PlayStation players, and Xbox and Battle.net players pre-ordered the game.

Call of Duty Vanguard will release on Nov. 5. The multiplayer will be available alongside a single-player campaign. This campaign will take place in four theatres of war from World War II. It will also integrate with Call of Duty: Warzone, which is the popular battle royale title.
