‘Forza Horizon 5’ Language Filter Is Flagging Real Names As Offensive Content
Forza horizon 5 has won over fans with its amazing environments, accessibility options and exciting game modes. It’s disappointing to learn that the game is now banning players’ real identities as it could be offensive.

I mean, there were almost a million people speeding around corners and through the beautiful scenery of Mexico even before the game was released. I’m sure that a lot more players will have downloaded it on Game Pass after the glowing reviews.
Dean mentioned that there isn’t much you can do to personalise your character in Forzahorizon 5, other than a limited selection of bodies and faces. Although the use of pronouns is encouraged, the language filter flags a few real names as inappropriate content.
The Forza Horizon5 number plate customization is a way to show off your personality. However, some players have had issues spelling their name on the plate. Osama Dorias is a game designer for Gotham Knights. tweeted a picture of their first name being blocked in the game when they tried customizing the car’s plate. Nazih Fares also revealed that they experienced the same issue when trying to personalize the car’s plate.
It appears that there has been an oversight in the list of names allowed in the game. This is indicative of a blanket approach that was not checked by multiple employees from different backgrounds. We reached out to Xbox for clarification on the matter. A representative from the UK informed us that the official response was being discussed and would be released within the next 24-48 hours.
