Deep Rock Galactic remains relevant four years since its full release, offering players plenty of bugs to squash and rare minerals to acquire. Judging by its 2024-2025 roadmap, this co-op first-person shooter remains relevant even as content drops have decreased somewhat over time.
DRG’s 2024-2025 roadmap features slower content releases due to Rogue Core – a rogue-lite spinoff offering players another approach toaring Hoxxes IV of enemies while gathering (different kinds) riches.

Deep Rock Galactic’s 2024-2025 roadmap begins in Q1 2024 with an open alpha for its Roguelite spinoff game.
Following that, an ongoing maintenance update in March 2024 will include various tweaks, balance updates, and fixes.
June 2024 marks the launch of Season 5, serving as a precursor for Rogue Core. We can expect a new performance pass, yet all other details remain uncertain at the time of Deep Rock Galactic’s 2024-2025 roadmap announcement.
2025 remains shrouded in mystery with one major exception – Season 6. While part of Ghost Ship Games’ plans, no additional details regarding it were shared at this point.
As well as these events, seasonal festivals like Oktoberfest are expected to return with all new hats, cosmetic items, and apparel for purchase.
Though some players will likely be dismayed at Deep Rock Galactic’s 2024-2025 roadmap being so limited in content, its creator provided a valid reason why their decision had to be made this way.
“Ideally, Deep Rock Galactic would continue full speed ahead while simultaneously developing Rogue Core; unfortunately we only have limited helpers available and, so few hours in each day”, reads an answer in the FAQs of Deep Rock,”alactic Roadmap announcement post.
“Rather than trying to put out smaller bits of work every day on multiple games, we prefer dedicating larger blocks of time exclusively to one project at a time. While this might not be the fastest path forward, this approach allows us to deliver you our finest games possible.”
Deep Rock Galactic remains an engaging co-op shooter that offers compelling gunplay and challenging levels that keep players coming back often, even with its now annual season releases.
DRG will likely reveal more about its 2024-2025 roadmap over time. More specific details may become known over time.
