Yesterday saw the unveiling of PlayStation Plus’ essential tier lineup for 2023 and once more has divided fans.

Since 5 December, LEGO 2K Drive, Powerwash Simulator and Sable have become part of your gaming library – I think that’s quite an impressive lineup! When reviewing LEGO 2K Drive earlier this year I noted how its automorphing between vehicles was brilliant in keeping races interesting while keeping microtransactions to a minimum; each track offered new challenges to keep you coming back for more while the various hubs in Bricklandia kept you engaged for hours on end! In my review Powerwash Simulator proved particularly popular while many recommended trying Sable repeatedly since my reviewer said I should try Sable more often since that review!

There’s still time to grab November’s PlayStation Plus essential tier lineup and Grand Theft Auto fans shouldn’t overlook one game in particular!

As previously announced, three new games will become available to purchase on 5 December; you have until then to pick up Mafia II: Definitive Edition, Dragon Ball: The Breakers and Aliens Fireteam Elite. Digital Trends recommends Mafia II if you enjoy Grand Theft Auto games; I wouldn’t say you must also be familiar with its predecessor in order to enjoy Mafia II properly.

2K’s action-adventure game from 2010 allows you to assume the role of Vito Scaletta, an ex-military soldier turned mobster who gets himself involved with the Falcone crime family after joining them.

While Mafia II takes place during an unfamiliar era compared to what we’re used to seeing in GTA entries, its gameplay mechanics remain similar – featuring gunfights, car chases and wanted system. You must change up both look and ride to stay one step ahead of law enforcement agents! Overall it’s well worth downloading so grab it while there’s still time!
