Cyberpunk 2077 may seem strangely appropriate as one of this year’s best games when released back in 2020; but hear me out. We all remember its initial poor state when released – particularly on PS4 and Xbox One platforms – which prompted Sony to temporarily pull it from PSN Store before later reinstating it with some improvements.
However, when Cyberpunk 2077 first released as a next-gen game in February 2022, we saw signs that we hoped it would become. Yet it wasn’t until this year prior to Phantom Liberty that Cyberpunk 2077 seemed on track to fulfill its potential after several major updates were implemented; and two years after release of Phantom Liberty along with one final major patch (Phantom Liberty expansion pack), that it truly delivered as promised – becoming one of the best games this year!
So if Cyberpunk 2077 has yet to become your game of choice, now could be an opportune moment! As long as you subscribe to PlayStation Plus Premium trial for five hours after which all progress and trophies will carry over should you purchase full game license.
