Disney+ Gets A Price Increase and A New Tier
Yesterday’s shareholder meeting saw Disney confirm that ads will be coming to Disney Plus’ lowest subscription tier. If you want an ad-free experience, you’ll need to pay a little more each month.
Despite the increasing cost of living, Disney reported that 14.4 million more customers were added to their rosters in the past quarter. This was higher than analysts expected. In a press release, Bob Chapek, chief operating officer, stated that the quarter was exceptional. He said that his creative and business teams had performed well at domestic theme parks and experienced significant growth in subscribers to streaming services.
There will not be any difference in the titles on either tier, even though there is a new tier. Disney Plus Basic will have ads between shows and cost $7.99 per month. It’s the same price as before, so it’s up to you whether the interruptions will bother you. If that is the case, you will need to upgrade to Disney Plus Premium at $10.99 per month. These changes won’t be available immediately, but they will start on 8 December.
Andor is the next Star Wars TV show. It follows the titular spy as he embarks on the fateful Rogue One Expedition. “Tony [Gilroy] wrote a great and cruel [take] about the Trumpian world. Fiona Shaw plays Maarva in Andor, the executive producer, and writer. “Our world is exploding at different times right now; people’s human rights are disappearing; Andor reflects this,” she said. He’s created a new morality. It is very humane and deep – grief, mourning, hope, and fear. This is not only about primary colors. There’s a lot to look forward to.
