Mass Effect fans tend to take any and all news with great seriousness – just as Charlie from Always Sunny in Philadelphia would with his conspiracy board – so any and every piece of information may be dissected to see if any beloved character from Mass Effect may return (such as one fan believes they have). While such scrutiny might appear excessive at first, ongoing analysis might just uncover something exciting such as finding that beloved protagonist back again!

On National Sevens Day (NS7), we all eagerly anticipated the unveiling of the teaser trailer for Mass Effect: Andromeda and were met with anticipation upon seeing what little detail there was revealed – with many asking whether someone needs assistance in Andromeda; is this Quarians needing our aid, or will another species emerge in need of our support?

There remain numerous unanswered questions, yet YouTuber Kala Elizabeth offers up a fantastic theory as to what the teaser shows us (or doesn’t show us), according to their Twitter post: The N7 Day teaser plays Aralakh Company as they enter Bay, an iconic melody fans may recognize from Mass Effect 3 such as Grunt’s theme from Mass Effect 3. Additionally, many believe a large figure seen walking out towards Tuchanka may actually be Krogan; thus prompting some fans to believe this YouTuber queries if an unknown figure could possibly be “walking out towards Tuchanka? ”

As an avid Mass Effect fan, I have some thoughts. First and foremost is its incredible link with music – one I didn’t initially notice due to all my excitement over seeing a teaser trailer for Mass Effect: Andromeda being shown! However, its bulky shadow may or may not indicate evidence of Krogans but anything’s possible given BioWare has stated this new game “will follow both ME3 and ME: Andromeda events”.

Unfortunately, whether this fan’s speculations about ME5 are accurate remains to be seen for now; after all, ME5 won’t come out until later this year on both PS5 and Xbox Series; therefore we may yet need a console launch before ever learning of its full details. Still, hopefully BioWare will reveal more soon enough!
